Global Citizenship Exchange

RE with Soul supporting Global Citizenship  exchanges…

In the Christian community global citizenship exchanges can be interpreted as overseas mission. Twyford and Macience students with head teacher

Mission is understood by ALMA as learning about the experience and context of our global neighbours, enabling those who encounter each other to be a resource to each other, through learning from the distinctive gift that comes from the different geographies, histories, economic priorities and social values of the countries involved and their communities.

In 2009, Twyford Church of England High school initiated a partnership with the Primary and Secondary schools of Maciene, Mozambique, linked with the Global Citizenship curriculum. A series of  exchange visits followed and inspired the RE with Soul KS3 classroom resources for use for students in years 7-9 in their RE lessons.
